The Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is designed for skilled workers who have already gained work experience in Canada. If you are working in Canada on a work permit, the CEC may be your fastest path to permanent residence.
CEC has lower language requirements than FSW (CLB 5 or 7 depending on NOC level) and no education requirement. The program values Canadian work experience, recognizing that workers already in Canada understand the labor market and society.
This program is popular among Post-Graduation Work Permit holders who have transitioned from student to worker status. It is also used by workers on LMIA-based work permits and intra-company transfers.
