How we picked these
We focused on five Canadian universities with three things in common: (1) consistent global top-100 academic standing, (2) strong international student infrastructure (admissions support, international student services, housing options), and (3) a clear PNP pathway for graduates that doesn\'t require a specific job offer. These five make up roughly 60% of all international undergraduate applications received by Canadian universities each year.
We are not ranking them against each other. The right one for you depends on your academic profile, budget, and where you want to live and work after graduation. Each entry below explains why this school is on the list and where it fits.
#1 most-applied
University of Toronto
Toronto, Ontario · Founded 1827
Intl tuition (CAD)
$62k–$70k/yr
Highest global ranking of any Canadian university (top 25 globally). The OINP Master's Graduate Stream is one of the most accessible PR pathways in Canada, making U of T graduate programs particularly valuable for long-term immigration. Trade-off: highest tuition at $62k-$70k/year for international undergrads.

McGill University
Montreal, Quebec · Founded 1821
Intl tuition (CAD)
$22k–$64k/yr
Top-30 globally and the only English-instruction top-30 in Quebec. Tuition is significantly lower than U of T or UBC for many programs because of Quebec's tuition framework. Quebec PEQ pathway for PR requires French; federal CEC works without it.

$42k–$65k/yr
